Employers- How not to end up before the trade dispute panel or the
commissioner of labor.
Dismiss an employee without good reason and without notice and you will end up
before the trade dispute panel. Under Cap 77: Unfair Dismissal Act Employees have
the following rights.
The right not to be dismissed unfairly by the employer. If you fires an employee
without a good reason
1. Employees have the right to be paid a redundancy payment.
2. An employee you can go straight to the Trade Dispute Panel and file a complaint
against you.
3. Under the Cap 73. Labour Act, employees can raise complain to the commissioner of labor.
Ministry of Labor. The commissioner of Labor will take up the employee’s case.
